Administration

Administration focuses on providing infrastructure to support the parish and its ministries. This includes buildings and physical plant, finances, communications and technology.

Communications Committee

This committee’s mission is to create and facilitate effective communication among the constituencies of the Catholic Community of St. Matthias. Comprised of parishioners with an interest in writing/editing/photography/graphic design, the committee publishes the monthly newsletter In Action, both in print and on-line, web only articles under Parishioners’ Corner, the Mid-week Blast – a weekly email communication, and maintains the on-line Prayer Request. The committee continues to explore new ways to connect parishioners.

The Communications Committee facilitates the production of:

Matthias, the Magazine

This magazine, published twice a year, provides a deeper look into the life of the parish. Including articles written by guest scholars concerning timely issues confronting the Catholic Church as well as articles written by parishioners, the magazine hopes to provide yet another means of appropriate communication for the parish.

Web Site Committee

The Web Site Committee is comprised of parishioners with varied backgrounds in the graphic arts, web page production and newsletter creation. Meetings are held on as-needed basis. Work is produced by individuals at home.

Digital Media

In this digital age, the ministry of Digital Media brings together the creative artistic talents of photographers, bloggers, graphic designers, and videographers. This ministry is envisioned to support our parish communication channels such as our "St. Matthias Connect" web site, "St. Matthias In Action" newsletter, and "Matthias, The Magazine".

Technology Council

The Technology Council seeks to creatively leverage technology tools and talent in support of the Parish’s mission and goals. We seek to unify and align technology initiatives across the Faith Community of St. Matthias which includes all the ministries, the Parish Office, the school and the community. The Council will work with the Faith Community to create a framework to assess technology needs. We will establish priorities for technology investments and find inter-ministry synergies that enable the sharing of technology.

Finance Council

The St. Matthias Finance Council, in communion with the Church’s vision and commitment to Stewardship as a way of life, endeavors to wisely utilize parish resources and to develop and implement financial strategies to support parish goals within diocesan guidelines. Seeking God’s wisdom and guidance of the Spirit, the council assists the pastor in maintaining a sound financial status and in meeting the challenges of building God’s kingdom on earth.

Pastoral Council

Mission Statement
Rooted in prayer and guided by the Holy Spirit, the Pastoral Council is a ministry of service. The Council draws upon and values the diverse backgrounds, talents, and cultural experiences of all God's people. In collaboration with the pastor, and with input from the Pastoral Staff and parish community, the Council is a forum for prayerful discernment, consultation, and action. The Council promotes and encourages the spiritual growth of the parish, seeking to affect its overall direction and well-being, thus furthering Christ's kingdom on earth.
